Meet Dr. Jasmine

Dr Jasmine Mohd is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a subspecialty interest in minimally invasive surgery. After obtaining her basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2000, she underwent her surgical and advanced training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Dr Jasmine went on to receive her postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK as well as her Masters of Medicine in O&G from NUS in 2005. In 2009 she obtained her certificate with the Specialist Accreditation Board as well as Fellowship in the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

In 2010 Dr Jasmine embarked on the Health Manpower Development Plan fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Arizona in robotic surgery in gynaecology. Dr Jasmine Work was a clinical tutor to medical students for many years as well as provided training to junior doctors in hysteroscopy and advanced laparoscopy techniques.

Since 2009 Dr Jasmine was core faculty for Singhealth Residency training in O&G as well as being in the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2011. She has been in private practice since 2012 and remains a visiting consultant with the Department of O&G at KK Hospital. Dr Jasmine is also Visiting Consultant with the Department of O&G at the Singapore General Hospital.

Evaluation and pre pregnancy counselling in high risk cases

These include mums with pre-existing medical conditions like epilepsy, diabetes, hypertension, the older mum, thyroid disease, women with a history of miscarriages, intrauterine growth restriction, stillbirths, preterm labour, second trimester losses.

Dr Jasmine has had over 20 years’ experience in the management of pregnancy and delivery.

Evaluation and management of recurrent miscarriage

We discuss genetic analysis, assessment for uterine lesions, endocrine abnormalities as well as antiphospholipid syndrome and other thrombophilias.

Evaluation and management of cervical incompetence

Women with a history of cervical incompetence or shortening of the cervix may undergo elective cervical cerclage along with close monitoring and progesterone treatment.
